Jacek Męcina
Professor Jacek P. Męcina is a lawyer and a political scientist, as well as a social policy expert on labor law, employment relations, employment policy, labor market, education policy and social dialogue.
His research interests are focused on employment and labor market policy, labor law, and collective labor relations, the conditions of functioning of social dialogue in Poland and in the European countries.
Professor at the Institute of Social Policy, the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies at the University of Warsaw, since 2016 Director of the Institute of Social Policy. Scholar of the European Programme TEMPUS and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. A member of the Scientific Council of the academic journals — Human Resource Management and Social Dialogue and Social Policy. The Author of more than 100 books, articles, and papers on labor law, labor relations, social dialogue, employment and labor market issues. He cooperates with the European institutions, the ILO, and many academic and research centers in Poland, Germany and other European countries. Member of the Social Dialogue Council in Poland and Advisor to the board of the Lewiatan Confederation.
Brian Shanahan
Brian Shanahan is one of the world’s experts on working capital management. He has completed more than 300 assignments across 39 countries and has identified and released billions in cash for his clients in the last 30 years in industries as diverse as aerospace, agri-food, chemicals, engineering, FMCG, insurance, logistics, paper & packaging, pharma and utilities.
He has worked to develop world class methodologies to reduce accounts receivables, increase accounts payable and optimise inventories. His methodologies in receivables and payables cover much more than changing payment terms and unlock several hidden sources of cash. He has developed the TermsCheck.com payment term database and specific methodologies to deal with short term cash flow forecasting and spare parts inventory management.
Originally from Ireland, he trained to be an accountant in the UK. He then went on to a career in consultancy specialising in working capital management and procurement. He has written numerous books and articles on working capital management, procurement and supply chain management and risk. He continues to help companies all over the globe from his base in Portugal.
